Hi, my name is Tema. I have ALS and I don’t have use of my arms or hands. I used to use my iPad to stay connected with friends and family all the time, but my iPad is becoming more and more challenging to use with my hands and with voice recognition.

Now, I also have a Windows tablet with head pointing from CAYA. It was fascinating to sit and use it for the first time. Whoever thought if you lose your voice and use of your hands, you could still communicate, have access to your voice recordings and send emails!

Tara and Tim from CAYA were very patient and explained how to use my device over and over. I wouldn’t have a clue without them. Every time they come they present new things.

It is a tremendous relief to have an option to communicate and stay in touch with friends and family, without being able to speak or type with my hands.
